3D Scanning

“Recreating broken components with precision”

3D scanning is a cutting edge technology that uses lasers, structured light, or photogrammetry to capture the precise dimensions and geometry of physical objects. By creating a detailed digital representation, 3D scanning allows for the accurate measurement of complex surfaces and intricate designs that are often difficult to capture using traditional methods. This data is collected in the form of a point cloud or mesh, providing a high resolution model of the object that can be easily viewed and manipulated digitally.

Once the 3D scan is complete the data can be converted into a CAD (Computer Aided Design) model, which serves as a powerful tool for product design, reverse engineering, and remanufacturing. CAD models derived from 3D scans ensure exact replicas of the original part or object, enabling designers and engineers to modify, analyze and reproduce the item with pinpoint precision. This seamless integration between 3D scanning and CAD streamlines the design process, reduces production times and improves overall accuracy in various industries such as aerospace, automotive, and manufacturing.

ReproHub offers a mobile scanning service for larger projects. Customers can also send us their components for scanning in ReproHubs scanning office.

We can scan your parts and provide you with the scan data or we can customise and remanufacture using ReproHub's additive manufacturing equipment.  We can also reproduce parts through our network to trusted partners across the UK.
